HP Printer Cannot Find Wireless Router – How to Fix it

If your HP printer cannot detect your wireless router, it’s usually due to connectivity settings, signal issues, or configuration errors. Here’s how to fix the problem and connect your printer to the correct Wi-Fi network.

Check Wi-Fi Network Availability

Make Sure the Router Is On

• Confirm that your wireless router is powered on and broadcasting a signal.
• Check that other devices (like your phone or laptop) can see and connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Verify the Network Name (SSID)

• Ensure your Wi-Fi network isn’t hidden. If it is, temporarily unhide it via your router’s settings.
• Make sure the network name doesn’t have unusual characters that may cause recognition issues.

Check Printer and Router Compatibility

2.4GHz vs 5GHz Wi-Fi

• Many HP printers support only 2.4GHz networks.
• Make sure your router has a 2.4GHz band enabled.
• If you’re using dual-band Wi-Fi, connect to the 2.4GHz SSID during setup.

Reboot Devices
