HP Printer Cannot Access Web Interface – How to Fix it

If you’re unable to access the HP printer’s web interface (also known as the Embedded Web Server or EWS), it usually means there’s a connectivity or configuration issue. The web interface is crucial for managing settings like network configuration, security, firmware updates, and Web Services.

Find the Printer’s IP Address

Use the Printer Control Panel

  • Go to Network Settings or Wireless Settings on the printer screen.
  • View or print the Network Configuration Page to find the printer’s IP address.

Use HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app and select the printer.
  • Go to Printer Information to find the IP address.

Access the Embedded Web Server

Enter IP Address in Browser

  • On a device connected to the same network, open a browser.
  • Type the printer’s IP address directly into the address bar (e.g., http://192.168.1.105).
  • Do not use a search engine or add www.
