Apple Watch Cannot Be Configured – How to Fix It

If your Apple Watch is not configuring properly, it could be due to pairing issues, software glitches, or network settings. This guide provides step-by-step solutions to fix the problem and complete the setup process.

Check Compatibility and Requirements

Ensure Your iPhone is Compatible

  • The Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone 6s or later running the latest iOS version.
  • Ensure the watchOS version is compatible with your iPhone.

Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

  1. Open Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone and ensure it is turned on.
  2. Open Settings > Wi-Fi and connect to a stable network.

Restart Both Devices

Restart Your iPhone

  1. Press and hold the Power button (or Power + Volume button on newer models).
  2. Slide to power off and turn it back on after a few seconds.

Restart Your Apple Watch

  1. Press and hold the Side button until the power-off slider appears.

  3. Click Remove from Account and confirm.

Reset Network Settings on iPhone
