Check If You Are Using the Correct Reset Method
Reset via macOS Settings (macOS Ventura or Later)
- Click the Apple menu > System Settings.
- Go to General > Transfer or Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to erase your Mac.
Reset via macOS Recovery (Older Versions)
- Shut down your MacBook Pro.
