If your iPhone shows “Family Information is not available”, it’s often due to Apple ID sync problems, iCloud issues, incorrect Family Sharing settings, or temporary server glitches. This guide provides steps to identify and fix the problem.
Check Apple System Status
- Visit the Apple System Status page.
- Confirm that iCloud and Family Sharing services are marked as available.
- If any are down, wait until Apple resolves the issue.
Restart Your iPhone
- Press and hold the Power + Volume Up button (or just Power on older models).
- Slide to power off.
- Wait 30 seconds, then turn the phone back on.
- Go to Settings > Your Name > Family Sharing and check if the information loads.
Sign Out and Sign Back Into iCloud
- Open Settings > Your Name > Scroll down and tap Sign Out.
- Enter your Apple ID password.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Sign back in using your Apple ID and check Family Sharing again.
Verify Family Sharing Setup
On Your iPhone
- Go to Settings > Your Name > Family Sharing.
- Check if your Apple ID is listed as the Organizer.
- If you are not the Organizer, contact the person who set up Family Sharing.
Reinvite Family Members
- In Family Sharing, tap Add Member.
- Remove the problematic member (if necessary), then reinvite them.
Check iCloud Settings on All Devices
- Ensure all family members are signed in to iCloud using the same region and Apple ID associated with Family Sharing.
- On each device, open Settings > Apple ID > iCloud and verify syncing is active.
Update iOS
- Open Settings > General > Software Update.
- Tap Download and Install if an update is available.
- Restart your iPhone after the update and check Family Sharing.
Reset Network Settings
- Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
- Enter your passcode and confirm.
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi and try accessing Family Sharing again.
Turn Family Sharing Off and On
- Open Settings > Your Name > Family Sharing.
- If you are the Organizer, tap Stop Using Family Sharing.
- Restart the iPhone, then set up Family Sharing again.
If “Family Information is not available” still appears, contact Apple Support to verify your account status or if there’s a deeper Apple ID issue.
