If your HP printer cannot access a shared folder for scan-to-network-folder functionality, it’s typically due to incorrect folder paths, permissions, or network settings. Here’s how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check Network Folder Path

Verify Folder Location and Share Name
  • Ensure the folder path you entered in the printer setup is correct.
  • Use the UNC path format:
    \\ComputerName\SharedFolderName
  • Avoid using mapped drive letters like Z:\.

Set Correct Folder Permissions

Share and Security Settings
  1. Right-click the folder and go to Properties.
