Spotify Cannot Add Songs to the Playlist – How to Fix It

If Spotify is not allowing you to add songs to a playlist, it could be due to playlist settings, account limitations, or app-related issues. This guide provides step-by-step solutions to fix the problem and regain full control over playlist management.

Check Playlist Type

Ensure You Have Editing Permissions

  • If the playlist belongs to another user, you may not have permission to add songs.
  • Try creating a new playlist and see if you can add songs to it.

Check If the Playlist is Collaborative

  1. Open the playlist in Spotify.
