If your JBL Charge 3 is acting up-won’t pair, won’t turn off, or has sound or connection issues-a factory reset can often solve the problem. Here’s how to reset the JBL Charge 3 properly.
Steps to Reset JBL Charge 3
- Turn on the speaker
- Press the Power button to turn on the JBL Charge 3.
- Press and hold two buttons simultaneously
- Hold the Volume Up (+) and Play/Pause buttons at the same time.
- Continue holding them for about 10–15 seconds.
- Wait for the speaker to power off
- The device will shut down automatically, indicating the reset is complete.
- Turn it back on
- Press the Power button to restart the speaker.
- It should now be reset to factory settings with no paired devices saved.
What Happens After Reset?
- All previously paired Bluetooth devices will be forgotten.
- Audio settings and customizations (if any) will be reset.
- You’ll need to put it into pairing mode again and reconnect your device manually.
When to Use This Reset
- Bluetooth won’t connect or discover devices
- The speaker keeps turning off or freezing
- Audio skips, stutters, or won’t play
- Buttons aren’t responding properly
If issues persist after the reset, the problem may be hardware-related. In that case, contact JBL Support for service options.
